You never know what you have until it's gone, or almost gone

Jorge was struggling at the beginning of the year to decide about his job situation. He loved where he worked and he loved what he did. Problem was, the credit union needed to cut back. Jorge's positions was "necessary" in the eyes of some. At the annual Christmas party for his company, his boss assured me that they would do anything in their power to keep Jorge happy. They did NOT want to lose him. He is a great asset. So, they made changes and decided to change his position to have him work in social marketing. He loves working with the Latino population and this was going to be a huge move for him emotionally. We thought and we prayed. What would be the best solution for Jorge? Stay where he was where we have great benefits, awesome schedule, good people surrounding him, flexible and understanding, and security or find a new job with possible better pay and less flexibility and more than that an unknown? Jorge ended up staying. Things changed and it was difficult for him to adjust, but now, seven months later, he says it was the best thing and he says, "At least I have a job!" Amen to that!

The fact of the matter is, whatever Jorge decides to do, he is good at it. He is a wonderful person with a great attitude! He will always be successful!
