Things you Take for Granted when you are 38 Weeks Pregnant

Here is a list of all the things a person takes for granted when they are pregnant vs. when they are not pregnant. They are in no particular order as they are all equally taken for granted:
  • Skinny Feet - swollen feet is not exactly attractive.
  • Washing dishes without getting a sore back - have you ever tried to do the dishes with a basketball stuffed up your shirt? Not the easiest thing in the world to do.
  • Picking up your 4 year old - this is a tough one because you aren't supposed to do it, yet you feel guilty if you don't love your youngest child just the same.
  • Close and personal hugs - it is rather hard to get close to someone when there is a big basketball in the way.
  • Bending down to pick up things off the floor - Can't do it anymore!
  • Being able to see your own belly button - this is rather strange....
  • A clean bathtub - it's too hard to bend over and clean out the bathtub and of course no one else will do it, so you suffer with a dirty tub until someone decides enough is enough!
  • A good, comfortable nights sleep - enough said. Between heartburn, night sweats, a HUGE belly, body aches, restless legs, and itching, sleeping doesn't come easy!
  • Being able to get up out of a chair
  • Feeling like you look good
  • Eating whatever you want without the risk of getting heartburn - your stomach is so tiny by this time that you really don't have much of an appetite at all, then on top of it everything you eat gives you heartburn!
  • Being able to walk up the stairs without getting out of breath - you feel like you are getting old, and when you are pregnant that is not a good thing!
This is just a sample list of all the things you should be grateful for when you are not pregnant. There are more, but at least, I for one will not forget them now!

Darn it! Hang in there! Even if you don't feel beautiful- YOU ARE!! We forget(and take for granted) the simple things until the day comes when we can't do it. Call me if there's something I can do for you- I would be happy to help!
