Excellent weekend of Excitement and Bliss

I'm glad the weekend is finally over, but it sure was a fantastic one!

It began on Friday where Christine was running for the student council leadership roles. She had already made the student council the week before and this week she was running for President, Vice-President, or Secretary. We bagan by staying up until all hours of the night making posters. We sure had fun spending the time working together, though. Here is the final product:





We went to her assembly to hear her "speech". She did a wonderful job, but we were worried because there was so much competition.





We waited for the call all afternoon to see if she had won. She finally sent a text after school and we found out she won the role of Vice-President. We were sooo proud of her for her strength and willingness to let herself go! She is following in her parents and grandparents footsteps!

Friday night was another example of the leadership our family posesses. The LatinoAmericano Festival goes on every Labor Day weekend, and this weekend was no different. Jorge works so hard to represent his company and does so much for the hispanic community. They presented him award for all his efforts and the Mayor of Provo was there to express his gratitude for all Jorge has done.





We also learned on Friday night that Brandon likes to suck the same two fingers that Hailey does.



Saturday we spent the day outdoors at a 3 vs. 3 soccer tournament. Both Christine and Vanessa entered the competition with two of their friends. Jorge coached both teams. It was a fun tournament and I think the kids had a blast just being with their friends. Both girls got medals and at one point, they even played against eachother. Vanessa wasn't too happy about that!












Christine got her hand kicked by a cleat! It was terribly bruised and it hurt pretty bad, but she was tough enough to get back out on the field and play hard.



Sunday was a very special day as it was the day we blessed Brandon at church. Jorge gave Brandon a beautiful blessing and I am so proud of him. Everyone we loved came to our church and shared the moment with us. Brandon looked so adorable in his beautiful white outfit. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful little family!





















After the blessing Mom took the kids to sleepover at her house and Jorge and I were alone, well alone as you can be with a baby at home too! =) We had a fantastic weekend and we are so greatful for our families and friends and for all our many many blessings! Thanks to all who shared this wonderful weekend with us!
